ABOUT
About:
Born and raised in Costa Mesa, CA, I have loved the beauty of nature and creating art for as long as I can remember. I earned generous academic and fine art scholarships to attend Concordia University, Irvine, and graduated in three years with my Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design in 2022. My work is undoubtedly inspired by my immersion in the beach and flora of California and the loving impact of my parents and Savior, Jesus.
Artist Statement:
I aim to absorb what I encounter in a life immersed in the ocean and California flora and share it with others using a balance of realistic and imaginative strokes to draw attention to the wonder, rejuvenation, joy, faith, hope, and love of these experiences with others.
The vibrant, bright to pastel color transitions are inspired by the iridescence seen in birds and flower petals and showcase the mystery of light.
The impressionistic style woven into many of my pieces encompasses how life is more pricelessly significant and uncontrollable than we can photorealistically see.
I paint because I giddily can’t help but paint when I see fresh ombre skies and water sparkles dappling across the shores and because it is one of the ways I can help awaken us to this miraculousness and beauty in and around us every day
